Hotel Print & Digital Advertisements

Amethyst Bay Resort & Spa was a new business looking for ways to reach out to potential customers who have either not traveled to St. Thomas before or who have previously stayed in other hotels or resorts on the island. My job was to design both a magazine ad and a web banner promoting a new product rollout, in this case, an all-inclusive romantic getaway package. The Resort already had an established style guide that contained their logo (and its variations), brand colors, and typography. With that in mind, I came up with the copy text for the ads and the photographs, as well as the layouts.

I think the most challenging aspect of this project was delivering the content succinctly and effectively in both platforms. In this regard, the print ad contains a lot more detailed information while remaining brief and placing a heavy focus on one large image representative of the resort. The web banner, on the other hand, focuses on the call to action along with giving quick explanations for the package, and ends with the resort's contact information. The web banner also has several images to help engage the viewer and get them excited about the package being offered.

Overall, I think that the designs present a united front and help Amethyst Bay reach their desired audience quickly and effectively.
